Feeling great today!!!! Started the day off right with a great ab workout. I think I may start working out every morning and do my weights and then do cardio, classes and more weights at night. I've been doing really good on my hunger and cravings. I really thing not having a morning snack and having a filling oatmeal breakfast has made a HUGE difference in this challenge form me. I killed it at the gym today and "upped" all of my weights on bench and bicep curls. I made a workout sheet so I can track my sets/reps/weights and see the progress I'm doing on them too. I want to work on making legitimate workouts instead of just getting to the gym and doing what I normally do. I want to have muscle groups, exercises, rep/weight goals, etc so I can get better overtime. That's my next goal!!

Yesterday was a great day but today was even better! I woke up around 545 and went to the gym and did a great ab workout I put together, started off the day great and my weight is down 5 pounds from when I started and my belly is back to flat and not bloated like it was after the weekend. Could be my girl time, could be getting back to "normal".. all I know is that I feel GREAT!
Yesterday after the gym I pulled out weeds for about 45 minutes, great mini workout haha. We were supposed to have grilled chicken with baked sweet potatoes so I told Jonathan we were eating at 7 when he left for the gym at 6. I put the sweet potatoes in the oven at 6:30... 730pm rolled around and he was still not home so I thought I would be a sweet wife and grill the chicken myself- NOPE. Grill starter wouldn't work and he wouldn't pick up his phone to tell me how to start the grill. Needless to say that the baked potatoes and organic marinating chicken are in the fridge waiting to be grilled and eaten because he strolled in around 8:15... I was STARVING so obviously Cranky Cole at that point- poor Jonathan! Afraid none of it will be good today because baked potatoes were wayyyy overcooked and the chicken was marinated in balsamic vinegar and spices so it may be too much for the chicken.. I'll be angry if I don't get to eat it. We were supposed to have frittata tonight too :(. 28 day meal plans for 1,200-1,500 and 1,800 calories!Very cool link for 28 days of meal planning for different calorie ranges. Sorry. This travel has been making it really hard to write updates for yall! Last week I was in Ohio then we immediately drove to Wilmington for a wedding on Jonathan's side for the weekend. Didn't get back until late afternoon Sunday so the whole weekend was shot. I felt GROSS yesterday- partly from being away and eating out for 3 weeks, partly from my girl time. I also read somewhere that Greek yogurt isn't dairy so I had some greek yogurt Sunday, maybe that played a part too? It's been over a month since I've had dairy. Hmm.... not sure! We leave for Cancun next Thursday- 9 days- single digits OMG!!!
In Ohio again of course! Back on Friday and straight to Wilmington for the weekend for Daniel & Nicole's wedding! At the same hotel I always stay at with an awesome gym and great breakfast so that is always good! I think we are starting to get sick because Jonathan and I have been super tired the last couple days and not feeling 100% :(. Not getting enough water while I travel either, getting 8 glasses a day which isn't bad but I need more I think.
Today is day 30!! I took my measurements this morning and I was very surprised. Yesterday at the gym I also weighed in around 4 pounds lighter than when I started :)!!
Day 29 was a great day overall! I was super busy so I didn't have much snacking at all- wahoo!
Breakfast: Muscelli (this stuff is awesome- highly recommend it!) Lunch: 1 slice bread, tuna Snack: Carrots and peanuts Dinner: Chicken sausage, zucchini, mushrooms, 1 1/2 bananas Snack: Peanuts and raisins Workout: 1 hour spin and 45 minute intense abs class It's been a few days since my last post so I have lots of updates! Today is 4 weeks into the challenge. I can already see a big difference, I am so glad I started 4 weeks ago! Even Jonathan is already noticing changes even though they say it takes 8 weeks for your family to notice :). Tomorrow will be 30 days so I will measure and let you all know my status!!
Tonight I usually do a 30 min spin class followed by a 45 minute spin and 45 min abs class. The run intervals have been making huge progress with me (I've been increasing speeds, my last one was 3 min at 7.5 mph and 1.5 min at 8 mph which is the fastest I've done yet!). Thinking I might do run intervals and then the full 1 hour abs class and miss spin tonight or just do the 30 min spin class, run intervals, abs... not sure yet. They REALLY work, HIGHLY recommend them if your body is capable :). Had a mini cheat today! I had a chocolate cake munchkin- I couldn't get away from it, it was there all morning and I just couldn't say no haha. DId I tell you guys about the breakfast things I found out? Great news! I read that a breakfast high in carbs & fruit will make you hungrier sooner and more often all day.... a protein packed breakfast will help you keep less hungry all day. TOTALLY TRUE!!! Yesterday I had eggs, etc. for breakfast and I did good all day. Today I had oatmeal with half an apple, strawberries and blueberries (DELICIOUS!!) buttttt I was hungry ALLL day and have taken in a ton of calories lol. That's it- protein for breakfast and oatmeal will be a midday snack from now on lol. My legs are soooo tired from the 4 miles I did in intervals yesterday but I still busted it during my workout. I missed dinner tonight with the team but they went before I was even done working out :(.
Traveling, of course! In Ohio this week though so it's not too bad. I'm here Sunday to Friday this week so I actually went grocery shopping yesterday. I got lots of veggies, some bread, turkey, popcorn kernels and peanut butter. I'm so glad I did!!! Today's lunch was nothing I could eat and I had my own little brown bagged lunch so I was happy and content! Did a GREAT workout today! Tomorrow will be tough to get a workout in. We leave at 730 for the plant and don't get back until 630 and the team wants to go to a dinner at Bass Pro Shop (deer meat, YUM!). I think my legs will be too tired in the morning for a workout lol. I've planned my meals for the week and I'm not eating nuts anymore, I think this will help with my calorie intake stay around my 1050-1100 goal :). I'll start letting you know what my calorie intake is!
Oh yea!! 3 weeks into the challenge and 23 days to Cancun!!! |
