I just added several new recipes to the grocery/recipes page for you to try over the weekend. I'm going to make a selection of them over the weekend. The idea is to have them made ahead of time so you can grab them quickly and on the go so you're not eating badly just because your hungry/late or last minute :).

OMG weekend is here! First weekend of the challenge. Hope we all make it through! I will be grocery shopping tonight and prepping lots of snacks tomorrow so I'm not eating all day around the house and then turn to "banned foods" haha. I always eat A LOT on the weekend! I'm also going to try to drink the same amount of water and drink a full cup of water before I eat anything to curb my appetite a bit. Good luck everyone and push yourself to do some kind of workout even if it's outside.
Did you know that there are 3,500 calories in a pound? Did you know that 2 jumping jacks burns 1 calorie? If you take that logic then 1,000 jumping jacks burns 500 calories. Times that by seven days a week and you get 3,500 calories- one pound! Not sure how long it would take to do 1,000 jumping jacks, might be good to do 250 in the morning, 250 at lunch, 250 before your shower and 250 before bed? Either way- great concept if you can't think of a workout!
I just added my meals and grocery list for week two under the Grocery & Recipes link. Enjoy!
I felt great all day yesterday.... until my dentist appointment! They put about a gallon of Novocain in my face and it was swollen from throat to eye- SO attractive (now I wish I got a photo for yall)! My face was still swollen when I went to bed at 9:30 lol. I got out of the dentist at 4:25 then ran to the 4:45 abs class. At the beginning it was harder than normal and the instructor said "remember though you had Novocain, that's OK".... then I decided that was a shit EXCUSE. So I KILLED the rest of abs class then forced myself to do an hour long turbo kick class afterwards for complaining- don't think I'll be complaining again :) ! The Turbo Kick class actually got me aggravated, the instructor had NO form at all- I HATE THAT! I actually walked away for one part because she was literally flailing her arms around like an idiot and I couldn't watch her- I faced the other way. I also intensified her crap moves by working in Insanity variations to make it harder- like when she jumped with straight legs I jumped full squat in the air- oh yea and did I mention my PERFECT form??... I know, what a B**ch I am- but hey- if I'm going to push myself to spend an hour of my busy life taking your class... you better make me SWEAT... I better be SORE... and you better have FORM...
Here's a link to where most of the food portion of the challenge came from so yall can see the information in full :). She's great!
http://kaysisnotebook.blogspot.com/2013/04/day-1-30-day-challenge.html Today was definitely a great day! I feel amazing already. We had some new people join the challenge too! Welcome Sheilagh, Chaunice, Shannon and Michelle! Hoping you all leave comments to let us know how your doing and any great tips or recipes you find along the way! Remember that your daily workout doesn't have to be a super intense class. You can take your dog for a long 30-45 minute walk, do some push ups/crunches/squats at home or I honestly get a really good work out when I do yard work all day :)
I went NUTS on the motivation stuff today! I made a collage of a bunch of motivational quotes, quick work outs and hot bodies and put them on my fridge, next to the shower and in the bedroom. I didn't have time to make it pretty like I normally do but it will definitely work (I posted it at the end)! Hoping this will help a lot! Also if I can't sleep I'll try one of the workouts listed. I also made this my screen saver on my phone: Please comment on these posts to let me know how you’re doing with the challenge and if you have any other ideas on snacks, recipes, workouts, etc.! Don't forget to commit on the right!
So yesterday was day 1 and I didn’t think it was too hard. I ended up drinking 11 cups of water and that filled me up a lot so I really wasn’t hungry most of the day. Some of the foods I had yesterday were processed more than I would like but I’m not going to throw out all of my food! I’ll go through food tonight and put a bunch away and then grocery shop on Friday. What I ate: Yesterday I didn’t take in many calories, I’ve created the attached spreadsheet to fill in so I can track what I eat, exercise, water, sleep, etc . Hey girls!! Soo… I’ve gained some weight over the last few months from traveling and I’m the biggest I’ve been in a long time. We leave for Cancun in 45 days- OH NO!!! And Jonathan and I really want to start eating cleaner/less processed/ etc. because we feel great on the days we do. I found a challenge online that I’m going to do and wanted to know if anyone wanted to join me J? I made this challenge from different websites I found on Pinterest. Take your weight, measurements & photos! In order to know if you’ve made progress in 30 days you’ll need a baseline. Take your measurements of EVERYTHING (bust, under bust, waist, around belly button, hips, butt, left: bicep, forearm,
