Today was definitely a great day! I feel amazing already. We had some new people join the challenge too! Welcome Sheilagh, Chaunice, Shannon and Michelle! Hoping you all leave comments to let us know how your doing and any great tips or recipes you find along the way! Remember that your daily workout doesn't have to be a super intense class. You can take your dog for a long 30-45 minute walk, do some push ups/crunches/squats at home or I honestly get a really good work out when I do yard work all day :)
I went NUTS on the motivation stuff today! I made a collage of a bunch of motivational quotes, quick work outs and hot bodies and put them on my fridge, next to the shower and in the bedroom. I didn't have time to make it pretty like I normally do but it will definitely work (I posted it at the end)! Hoping this will help a lot! Also if I can't sleep I'll try one of the workouts listed. I also made this my screen saver on my phone:

One thing that I think will be really important for us to succeed in this challenge is planning. Planning meals, etc. will make sure you have the right food in your house so there's no last minute microwaved hot pockets haha. I made my dinner plan with grocery list for the next 2 weeks starting Friday so I'll be sure to post it tomorrow or Thursday in case there is anything you want to steal!
I made another new snack recipe today, banana chips! They are in the oven now and they smell DELICIOUS!! I'll post the recipe when they're done so I can include photos. If they taste as good as they smell I highly recommend them! EVen Jonathan keeps sneaking a peak to see if they're done yet.
Today I had 11 glasses of water and 2 green teas! Lots of sleep, 9 hours last night! For breakfast I had a yogurt parfait (Light n' fit yogurt, barenaked light granola & 2 strawberries), lunch was 2 slices of toast with just a little bit of peanut butter and strawberries in place of jam (open face of course because it felt like more!), I had 1 nature valley granola bar for a snack (1 from a 2 pack) and for dinner I made organic mango, jalepeno chicken sausages, sautéed spinach with garlic and onion, I pan fried the sweet potato chips I made yesterday (way better the second time around) and I had some apple chunks! I feel like adding spice to the food is a great replacement for the salt we can't have!

My work out was nuts today! My 100 was with the Pilates ring again (I LOVE that thing!). I bent my arms and pulled them up so they were as high as my shoulders with my hands right above my shoulders. Then I put the pilates ring between my hands (don't squeeze it, keep your hands flat for advanced technique) and I used my chest and shoulders to push the ring together 100 times. This was SOO hard but great for underarm fat! After work today I took my very first HIIT class, it was intense but I think I'll add it to my Tuesday routine!
I also did lots of stretching after the gym while we were watching TV using the poses below. I am SO not flexible! I need to work on that and maybe between that and core classes I will improve my terrible posture too. There are so many little things I want to do that are easy in moderation but would pay off big over 60 days- I think I may add it into my workout routine.
