Still going strong! Here are my 100 day results :). I've been doing way more weight/strength training and kettle bells and less cardio in the last 40 days. I've also been more relaxed with my diet, but I think I may stop that because I don't feel as good when I do it. Hope seeing the continued progress helps keep you motivated! Overall I'm down 5.2 lbs, 2.25in off my waist, 1.5 off my hips/love handles, 1 in off my thighs & .5 off my arms/calves. The muscle is really starting to build and tone everything up after I did a lot of cardio early on to help burn the fat. Looking forward to seeing what the next 30 days will bring! I am SO HAPPY we started this challenge, looking back now on old photos actually make me a bit embarassed- note to self- wear more flattering underwear or

WOWW!!! I can't believe it's here, Day 60! And I can't believe how easy it has become to stay on track, now it is a habit! The original challenge that I used as a guide was only a 30 day challenge but I "challenged" everyone to do a 60 instead, 30 was never an option. You cannot change your lifestyle for good in just 30 days. 30 days ago I was still having issues sitting next to Jonathan when he had chips, or was worrying about what to eat and even wondering what the heck can I make!? Now at 60 days I'm confident in my food choices, have found/developed a solid workout plan that works for ME, I don't need the cheat days because I have found foods that I love, have no problem passing on chips, and I have forgotten that carbs existed after 3pm! I know how to read a nutrition label correctly- not just check the calories and fiber... I'm now reading the ingredients and make intelligent choices based on what's IN the food instead of how many calories it has. And most importantly.. I have kicked the habit of frozen and processed food :). My body has seen incredible results from the changes in these eating habits and it shows that your stomach is NOT A WASTE BASKET... YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. My moods have literally changed, i was always happy before but now I have what feels like clean and weightless energy and I feel more relaxed and energized (and dare I say horney?? haha).
Here are my results (photos too!)- I am seriously stunned!! This is why you take photos, weights and measurements from the gecko!!! I'm not stopping now!!! I'm just getting started, I can't wait to see what my body is capable of! I really want to get strong enough to do some crazy moves at the gym like handstand pushups, pull ups with leg lifts and benching my body weight! Yesterday was great! I'm finally getting the form down really well in my kettle bell workout so the time it takes for the workout set is getting shorter every time :). I'm getting so much stronger, I can feel it when i do the exercises. I feel great! Jonathan cooked my "cheat" Digorno pizza I've been saving for this weekend last night. I wanted to cry it smelled so good. He didn't realize that today was day 60 and I was doing all of the measurements, photos, etc. this morning- he felt so bad his whole face changed when I told him that lol. I had half of a small slice just to give me a little taste, now I'll have to buy another one lol. I wish they would do whole grain crust lol.
Took photos and measurements this morning and recalculated my new body fat %. I'll post everything in a new post for you to see! It's only the beginning, now that I've trimmed down I want to build up the muscle so I will probably have some weight gain in the next 60 days :). I'm Not Stopping Now!!!! I'm just getting started!!! I took some photos yesterday and I'm glad I did (wish I got measurements!!) because I'm starting to bloat- go figure!! Photos are a huge difference, looking forward to sharing them with yall! Don't know if I'll post the ones I took yesterday or wait until after the bloating and do measurements and full body photos at the same time. We'll see!
Took my first Yoga class yesterday, I've taken a lot of Yoga fusion classes that combine Yoga with Pilates but never a straight Yoga class. I did it for relaxation and it was amazing! I felt so relaxed afterwards. I went home and prepped dinner after my shower. I was home for an hour and a half before Jonathan came home with no TV or anything, just relaxing. I highly recommend it. I feel amazing today!! It was raining when I got home (before yoga) but I wanted to go for a run for my cardio so I grabbed Cameron and a hat and we went running in the rain- it was great, we looked TOTALLY dedicated hahaha!! Tried a new recipe last night that mom said dad liked and Joanthan loved it so that was awesome!! We used turkey kielbasa and cut it into 1/2 inch pieces and threw it in a pan with olive oil, lots of garlic, mushrooms, zucchini, onions and eggplant. Then in another pan I made spinach with onions, garlic and olive oil. I had my keilbasa mixture over spinach and Jonathan had it with spinach and rice. It was super yummy and took less than 10 minutes to cook once it was all cut up :). I am definitely skipping the eggplant next time though- we don't like eggplant very much. Second time trying it this week- just not sticking. I highly recommend it!! Thanks mom :) Do you do strength training? ADD IT! Muscle burns calories after 72 hours after your workout, cardio stops burning calories the minute you walk off that treadmill. Muscle also burns more calories and fat as you build it up and it's how you get lean arms. High reps, low weight is a thing of the past... push yourself to get high weight, low reps to get the best results and burn the most calories. Despite what I used to think this will not make you bulky, women do not have enough testosterone to become bulky and we'll never lift enough to get there either. Here are my arm/abs and kettle bell (legs)/oblique workouts. Remember to warm up and stretch before and stretch after so you aren't sore! I also supplement this with run intervals and Pi-Yo. I'll also be adding more Yoga/Pilates classes to my schedule. I posted my full weekly outline I'm going to do below. ![]()
Yesterday I had some chest pains when I got home after working out so you'll see I had an intense workout but not a lot of calories... not on purpose lol. I just didn't feel well so I went to bed super early and didn't snack at all. I'm sure my body will be over hungry today now hahhahaa! Initially I thought it was from the Greek yogurt, but after looking back on the day I had to take a Benedryl before I worked out because the polen was so bad I couldn't get my contacts in, I think this is why I had chest pains. But I got a KILLER workout in and my body feels amazing and tight today!!
WOW.... I just wrote day 56 of a 60 day challenge. Can't believe that 60 days is THIS THURSDAY!! Woah, what a transformation, can't wait to upload pics next week after my girl time is over so I'm not bloated hhahaa. I did well yesterday, had lots of water and took a day off from the gym because they were closed. I'm in the middle of redoing my workout routine. It's a bit too intense at the moment with cardio most days and strength training 6 days a week and in the gym 7 days a week. I need to scale it back a bit because my joints are actually starting to feel it, besides- rest let's y lol. I'll let you know what I come up with!
Feeling really great, abs are seriously starting to come through!!! Getting so excited about how eating right and daily exercise can make you feel. I seriously can't believe the changes I've seen in just 55 days. Thursday is day 60 but I'll be bloated because it's right before my girl time so I won't be taking photos until the week after haha. We've already committed to at least 90 days to stick with Kerri for the long haul- Kerri is seriously KICKING BUTT!!! Killin it!!!
Today was my relaxing day, PiYo. Then I relaxed all day and watched chick flicks and now I feel totally zen and relaxed- I highly recommend it!! I am really looking forward to seeing what 90 days will bring. I've had lots of little cheats here and there but I've decided to really focus and not cheat as much as I can because that little bit is going to be what makes my abs come through, they are right there. I can feel them through the skin! I'm hoping there's a BMI calculator thingy at the gym because I want to see where I'm at with it. Ughhhh... Fake "Greek" yogurt has killed me & mom!! We both had what we thought was Greek yogurt yesterday and it KILLED our stomachs! She had it for breakfast and i had it for lunch in a parfait- HUGE mistake!! We had stomach cramps all day and the pain was no fun! The only Greek yogurt that doesn't do this to us is Chobani plain Greek yogurt. Mom tried the Simply 100 flavored one yesterday from Chobani and it still did it. When reading packing yesterday at the grocery store I noticed that Simply 100 is worse than the regular Chobani flavored so I grabbed several regular Chobani flavored yogurts, I will try them and let you know the results! So far, only Chobani plain doesn't give us stomach cramps. Looks like we have stayed true to our no dairy!!
Went grocery shopping yesterday, I WAS A CHAMP!!! I switched baby carrots (they are SUPER processed) for regular bulk carrots, I got bulk instead of bagged so I could pick out all the best ones! Mom sent me a list of things to buy organic and chicken was one of them, it was 25% off yesterday so I got 8 organic chicken breasts for only $12- YEA!!! I also got 3 new vegetables to try- fresh beets (had last night- AMAZING), eggplant and baby portabella mushrooms. TONS of fruits and veggies, I ran out of room in my fruit & Veggie drawers in the fridge so I have spinach, beets, lettuce and mushrooms on the shelf too haha. I took all of the veggies out of the bags so you can see them all when you open the drawers, it makes them look way more appealing and even just last night I found myself reaching for more veggies because of it- highly recommend it! Our house is totally challenge friendly right now. Lots of snacks still like granola bars, pop tarts, fruit snacks, etc. for Jonathan but I haven't craved them at all and haven't had ANY since the challenge started so I am doing great!! On the counter right now I have a 3 tiered bowls- bottom is shelled peanuts, middle is for peanut shells and top has almonds. The other side has a 2 tiered fruit holder- top is STUFFED with bananas, bottom has sweet potatoes and oranges and I had to take out a crystal bowl next to it for apples. The fridge is packed with yummy veggies, fruit and Greek yogurt ready to eat too! Everything is out in the open, easy to reach and ready to eat. That's what I call a successful challenge household!! Yesterday was an OK day. I was super cranky though. I got plenty of sleep so I think it's from all of the salt and butter we had when we were away. Sunburn has turned into a beautiful tan (go figure) haha. Trying to figure out if there is a way to do yard work in a bikini this weekend without looking trashy so I can keep it up lol. I am bound to find a way to tan on the weekends somehow. Just lay out in the sun on Saturdays and read a book :). Maybe I can do it at Sunset park, I don't exactly have privacy in my backyard lol. I will probably just do it in an Adirondack chair :).
